Hey beautiful! My name is Anna-Rose Brown. I am a liscensed cosmeotologist located at Practically Frivolous Salon and Spa in Saint Petersburg, Florida, dedicated to provide beauty services that combine artistic, creative sense with inner wellness. To me, beauty isn't just looking good; it is about feeling good.
ABOUT ME
Ever since I was a kid, you could always find me painting, making music, drawing, etc. By the time I was in high school, I knew that art had to be my career.

Graduating high school in May 2020, I started my cosmeotology journey just a week later. By July 2021, I was liscensed and ready to start my career at the ripe age of 19.
​
Struggling to find a salon that met my needs, I started to get defeated. That was until I suddenly came across a great opportunity, which is my now forever home Practically Frivolous Salon and Spa. There, they made me realize that the future of the industry is bright, and settling for anything less than a great environment with talented individuals wouldn't improve the industry.
WHAT I LOVE
Practically Frivolous Salon is a generalist salon, meaning the stylists there do both cuts and color. Of course, everyone has their favorite things! I love working with:
- Curly/textured hair
- Blonding
- Vivids/fashion colors
- Bold/artistic haircuts
- Anything else super different or fun!
WHY I DO IT
Being in cosmeotology school, searching for salons, and just living life as a biracial, bisexual woman with mental struggles made it clear that there is a lack of diversity, inclusion, kindness and accommdation in the world, and that includes the beauty industry. Too many salons have one type of person from one type of background with one type of interests. My journey led me to realize I must help pave the way partnered with a salon family that has similar ideals of abolishing this outdated structure, and enriching our industry with positivity and inclusion.

One philosophy is close to my heart:
Beauty radiates inside out.
To be beautiful outside is not enough. You must make yourself beautiful inside by taking care of your mind and wellbeing.

My chair is a safe, diverse, inclusive place for people of all races, sexualities, genders, ages, abilities, and more. Entrusting me with your hair is one thing, but I hope that working with me, you will also feel comfortable to be yourself and share your mind and soul.
